Lady Raider Tennis Continues Fall Season at ITA Regionals

Texas Tech to face regional opponents in College Station
LUBBOCK, Texas – Four of the Lady Raider Tennis newcomers will represent Texas Tech in the main draw of the ITA Texas Regionals this weekend in College Station, Texas.

Sydney Jones, Francesca Sella, Denise-Antonela Stoica and Olivia Peet all received first-round byes in the draw. Stoica was selected as the No. 3 overall seed for the tournament while Sella was selected No. 13 in the draw. Peet was picked as the No. 22 seed in the singles tournament. All four will begin play on Thursday.

In doubles, Sella and Stoica will team up as the No. 3 seed while the freshman duo of Jones and Peet will be the No. 9 seed. Both pairs received first-round byes and will play in the Round of 32 on Thursday.

The tournament begins Thursday at 8:45 a.m. with the doubles round of 64 followed by the singles round of 128.
