Robertson Rounds Out Signing Class with Van Cleave

Abby Van Cleave rounds out 2019 signing class, joining French native Gala Dumez
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech women's golf coach JoJo Robertson added her final signee to the 2019 class Monday as Abby Van Cleave inked a National Letter of Intent with the university.
Van Cleave, who a product of Smithson Valley High School in San Antonio, is set to join the Tech golf program in the summer of 2019. She has won multiple tournaments on the local, statewide and national level, including the USA Junior National Team 2017 National Championship and the 2018 Team Championship at historic TPC San Antonio.
"We are excited to welcome Abby to the team," Robertson said. "She's a very talented player who will do a great job for us. We expect Abby to make an impact for us right away."
Van Cleave has also competed in international events as she represented the United States at the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship in San Diego. On the high school prep level, she competed in the Texas Class 6A state tournament this past May.
Van Cleave is the final signee in Tech's 2019 class, joining French native Gala Dumez, who signed with the university last week. Both signees will arrive in Lubbock this next summer in preparation for the 2019-20 season.
