Softball Shifts Schedule for Home Opening Weekend

Texas Tech will now play a doubleheader Friday and one game Saturday.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball has shifted the schedule for its first home series of the season at Rocky Johnson Field against Northwestern State, the program announced Friday. The Red Raiders will now play a doubleheader Friday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., before playing the series finale Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Red Raiders and Lady Demons were originally set for a 4 p.m. tilt Friday and a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon.

The schedule change means twice the fun for Texas Tech fans on opening night at The Rock. Fans can now access two games for the price of one Friday, with ticket prices at $5 for adults and $3 for youths (age 2-17). T-shirts will be handed out to the first 150 fans in attendance.

Saturday, fans can unlock the group rate of $2 at softball's ticket office by showing their Kansas basketball ticket.
