The Players' Journal: Firsts

What a weekend we had, am I right? Three walk-offs, three bombs, and three fun and intense games to have at our home opener!
Â
It was so awesome getting to play on our field and not have the stresses of traveling. Traveling brings on the worry of missing class, feeling like you forgot something even though you checked your luggage 18 times, and not being able to sleep in your own bed! I am so excited to be able to see my family in the stands, see and compete against some of my friends from back home, and see if we can get ourselves some more W's this weekend!
Â
Our team has grown so close just in these first couple of weeks of the beginning of season, and we have so much more in store as the season unfolds. We have worked so hard to get where we are, and it is only up from here! It has been so great for me to be a part of this team.
Â
Going from the top as a senior in high school, back to the bottom as a freshman in college has brought about so many things I missed about being a freshman. You have to embrace how fast the game can move while soaking in all of the "firsts" at the next level. It sure does bring on nerves that you forgot you ever had!
Â
It's been easy to cope with the new environment due to the upperclassmen being so welcoming to all of us newbies on the team. They have made the adjustment that much easier, helping us just play the game we've played for our whole lives. Through the short couple of months I been here, I've been so impacted by this team and cannot wait to see what will occur in the future!
Â
See you this weekend at The Rock! Let's get it.
