Lady Raider Tennis Begins 2018 Slate in Midland

Texas Tech sends four student-athletes to compete in tournament this weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Women's Tennis opens the 2018 fall season with the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas, this weekend.

The Lady Raiders will send four student-athletes to the singles and doubles event. Junior Reagan Collins is the only returner to play in the tournament. Newcomers Sydney Jones, Olivia Peet and Isa Di Laura will make their Texas Tech debuts this weekend in Midland.

Several members of the team will take part in the Team Luke Hope for Minds Tennis Classic, a 25K event, held at the McLeod Tennis Center. The tournament is scheduled to run Sept. 17-23.

The team travels to Fort Worth, Texas, for the TCU Big Five Challenge on Sept. 21-23.
