Arvidsson Tees Off Professional Tour Slate in Florida

Elin Arvidsson will play in inaugural SKYiGOLF Championship later this week in Florida
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech alumnae Elin Arvidsson will kick off a busy month for former Red Raiders in the professional ranks Thursday when she opens the SKYiGolf Championship in North Port, Florida.
The SKYiGolf Championship opens the 2019 Symetra Tour schedule for Arvidsson, who put together a strong showing this fall in LPGA qualifying to earn full Symetra status for this season. The four-day tournament at the Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club features a $250,000 purse.
Arvidsson has played primarily on the Symetra Tour since turning professional in 2015 to go along with several international events, including the 3E Actuaries Open in 2017 where she claimed her first professional title. She went on to make her major debut later that year at the U.S. Women's Open, becoming only the fifth Sweden player in history to play in the tournament.
Arvidsson is among a host of former Red Raiders who will continue professional competitions in the month of March, joining LPGA standout Kim Kaufman and 2018 graduate Gabby Barker. Kaufman continues her LPGA schedule March 21-24 at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup, while Barker will play next week in a Cactus Tour even in Sun City, Arizona.
