Red Raiders at No. 6 in Golfweek Bushnell Coaches Poll

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech is ranked No. 6 in this week's Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
The Red Raiders are coming off a seventh-place finish at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate last week in Hawaii and will now play at The Prestige next Monday-Wednesday in Palm Springs, California. Along with the Golfweek Coaches Poll, Tech is now at No. 9 in the Golfstat statistical rankings led by senior Sandy Scott who is at No. 9 in the individual rankings. The final round of The Prestige will be livestreamed by Golfweek from 12-5 p.m. at Golfweek.com/Prestige2020.
The Prestige will be played at PGA WEST with teams from Arkansas, Iowa State, LSU, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, SMU, Stanford, University of Stirling (Scotland), Texas, UC Davis, UCLA, and Wyoming. All told, this year's field features six programs ranked among the top 25 in the GolfStat and GolfWeek rankings released on Feb. 12, as well as eight of the top 25 individual players in the nation — four of those ranked among the top 10 — according to the GolfWeek rankings.
After finishing the fall as the No. 1 ranked team in the country, the Oklahoma Sooners continue their reign as the top-ranked team in the country in the first Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll of 2020.

The Sooners received six first-place votes, followed by second-ranked Pepperdine who received 16 first-place votes, and Georgia Tech who received one first-place vote. Duke and Wake Forest round out the top five.

Colorado State, Notre Dame, Arizona State, and Arizona all earned a spot in the top ten.

Vanderbilt (#22) and Tennessee (#25) both rejoined the ranking this week, while Arkansas and Oregon State fell from the top 25.
