TPJ: GET ON THE BUS
February 04, 2020 | Softball
I know what you must be thinking. Is it really here? Is softball season truly upon us? Will the Texas Tech softball team be lit-sauce again this year?Â
I am sure the wait has been unbearable. It has for us, at least.Â
But here we are, days away from our most favorite time of the year and I wouldn't want to spend it with any other group! If there was one word that I could use to describe this feeling it would be GRATEFUL.Â
Grateful for each and every heart on this team.Â
Grateful for the countless hours spent and sacrifices made to make us a top team in the nation.Â
Grateful for our staff and how invested they are into building our character.
Grateful for Mrs. Norma, who serves so many, works the longest hours, and never EVER complains. Every detail matters to us.
Grateful for each and every person who has given up something for us. For WE. So that we could perform at the highest level, get an education, and become strong women. But most of all, grateful to the Lord for giving us the opportunity to play the best game in the world.
Walking into this week, I have found myself more grateful than ever. Softball has always been a top priority - having a great work ethic and having integrity at all times are both important. But, what has been on my heart more than anything has just been an overwhelming thankfulness to be alive. I have two eyes that see, breath in my lungs, and legs to walk. I am getting my education at the best University in the nation. Not only am I alive, but I have the incredible opportunity to represent the Lord on one of the biggest stages in softball with incredible people next to me!
As we begin this season, I hope that everyone knows what we're here for. Yes, to kill everyone. But also, to make a positive impact on people, serve our community, build the name of Texas Tech, and more than anything, glorify God.Â
So, this probably isn't the first time you've heard this, and definitely won't be the last - but if you aren't already... GET ON THE BUS!!!!!
See you this weekend.
