LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics has partnered with CaringCent to enhance connectivity with its fan base through its national social media following. Through this collaboration, Texas Tech Athletics is leveraging CaringCent's service and technology to enhance engagement from supporters both locally and outside of Lubbock, Texas.Â
Together, Texas Tech Athletics and CaringCent have enhanced engagement of supporters everywhere through customized digital content that results in new, passive revenue through CaringCent's unique technology.Â
"We recognize the vibrancy of Red Raider Nation not just in West Texas but across the country and beyond," said Robert Giovannetti, Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and Strategic Communications. "Our collaboration with CaringCent demonstrates our commitment to fans everywhere to engage with them as if they're here with us. Through this process, our supporters receive timely and personalized communications. This engagement leads to a turnkey and scalable process for unlocking the engagement opportunities for local and out-of-market fan base."Â
Texas Tech launched CaringCent in advance of the Red Raider men's basketball team's victory over then No. 1 Louisville at the Jimmy V. Classic in Madison Square Garden on Dec. 10. Immediately following this game, Tech used CaringCent's technology to capture more than 1,000 new fundraising leads across the country. These new prospects are now receiving customized digital content while generating expanding revenue for the athletics department.
"We're privileged to support Texas Tech's efforts to maximize the full revenue potential of the Texas Tech Athletics brand and its national following," said Jim Wills, MD, CEO of CaringCent. "The Tech team is innovative and forward-looking, making them an ideal partner for our model. The Red Raiders have accumulated one of the largest social media followings in college athletics. Out-of-market engagement represents the next frontier in supporting the mission of college athletics. Texas Tech is at the forefront."
