Ward Adds Trio of Transfers to 2022 Red Raider Softball Roster

Riley Ehlen, Molly Grumbo and Page Mindedahl join Tech after playing previously at Loyola Marymount.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball head coach Sami Ward announces the signing of three transfers from Loyola Marymount to the 2022 Red Raider roster. Riley Ehlen, Molly Grumbo and Page Mindedahl will join the Red Raiders after playing under Coach Ward and her staff previously at LMU.
"Riley, Molly and Page will add value to our team in the locker room and on the softball field," said Ward. "They understand what it means to put our team first and they understand how to commit to growth."
Sami says:
"Riley us a versatile athlete that can play both infield and outfield. She loves and thrives playing against the toughest competition. She is intrinsically motivated and is constantly pushing herself to be her best."
In addition to her accomplishments on the field, Grumbo was a three-year WCC All-Academic Team earner and member of the Student Athlete Mentors (S.A.M.) and Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.).
Sami says:
"We are fortunate to be able to add Molly for her grad year. She has natural leadership abilities; she loves to work and she's committed to being the best she can be. She will help us behind the plate and she adds offense to our lineup."
Sami says:
"Page is one of the most selfless athletes I have met. She works so hard to push herself and those around her. She's a great team player and she will make our program stronger."
Ehlen, Grumbo and Mindedahl will join seven freshmen as newcomers on the Red Raider's 2022 roster. Erna Carlin, Demi Elder, Breanna Hayward, Karson Jennings, Maddie Kuehl and Kaylee Lyon inked their names in November while Ranci Willis signed to play for Tech in April.

Riley Ehlen
INF/OF | Junior | Brentwood, California | Loyola Marymount
Ehlen adds depth and experience to the Red Raider roster as a two-year starter at LMU playing in both the outfield and infield. She tallied a .272 hitting clip with 63 hits including 14 doubles and 10 home runs. As a freshman in 2019, Ehlen finished second on the team and fifth in the WCC with eight home runs, she was third on the team with 30 RBI, 40 hits and 23 runs scored. She earned WCC Player of the Week honors her rookie season. Ehlen spent time in left field, third base and second base during her time at LMU. Molly Grumbo
C | Graduate | La Palma, California | Loyola Marymount
Grumbo joins the Red Raiders as a graduate student working on her MBA with one season of eligibility remaining. The grad transfer garnered All-WCC First Team honors in 2019 and was twice named All-WCC Honorable Mention (2018, 2021). She earned NISC All-Tournament Team honors after helping guide the Lion's to the NISC Championship as a freshman. Grumbo was the team leader in batting average in three of her four seasons at LMU (2018-2020) batting .347 in her career with 182 hits including 43 doubles and 23 home runs. Behind the dish Grumbo has tallied 569 career putouts and 50 assists with a fielding percentage of .979 with 21 runners caught stealing. C | Graduate | La Palma, California | Loyola Marymount

Page Mindedahl
OF | Sophomore | Bonner Springs, Kansas | Loyola Marymount
Mindedhal comes to Lubbock as a junior with three years of athletic eligibility remaining. During her time at LMU, Mindedhal appeared in 38 games, primarily as a pinch runner, scoring nine runs and successfully stealing three bases. OF | Sophomore | Bonner Springs, Kansas | Loyola Marymount
