Tech tennis inks FIU transfer Andjela Skrobonja

The Serbian joins the program after spending two seasons in South Florida
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis program has announced the addition of Florida International transfer Andjela Skrobonja.
A native of Serbia, Skrobonja joins Texas Tech after a successful two seasons in South Beach. Playing No. 3 singles for the Panthers, Skrobonja amassed a record of 14-4, including a straight-set win over Vic Allen of No. 35 FSU.
In addition to her success individually, Skrobonja also excelled during doubles play. The rising junior went 12-3 overall and 9-1 in her last 10 doubles matches. The
European and partner Kamila Umarova earned First Team All-CUSA Doubles honors.
A Second Team All-CUSA selection during the 2020-21 season, Skrobonja went a combined 24-6 in her FIU singles career and was 22-4 in doubles play.
An experienced junior player as well, Skrobonja was also ranked as high 112 in the world, and played in the European Championships in both 2018 and 2019.
