Zahafi holds spot on The Bowerman List

Zahafi first made his debut on The Bowerman List on April 21
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Moad Zahafi held his spot in the latest update of The Bowerman Watchlist, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Zahafi made his debut on April 21 and is one three mid-distance runners on the list. The Morocco native holds the world-lead in the 800 (1:43.69), breaking Texas Tech's record at the Tom Jones Memorial. Last weekend at the Drake Relays, Zahafi raced in his first-ever 1500 and etched a time of 3:39.59 for another Tech record.
The next update for The Bowerman list is scheduled to occur May 18-19. The Red Raiders are off this week and return back to competition May 13-15 as they host the 2022 Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
