Calum Scott leads Tech after 36 holes in Fort Worth

After the first two rounds of the Ben Hogan Invitational the Red Raiders sit in 13th place
FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 13 Texas Tech men's golf program is in 13th place after Monday's first two rounds of the Ben Hogan Invitational, shooting a team score of 11-over-par 571.
The Red Raiders recorded rounds of 10-over-par 290 in round one, followed by 1-over-par 281 in round two.
Calum Scott fired a 3-over-par 73 in round one and a 2-under-par 68 in round two, closing the day with Texas Tech's lowest score recorded on Monday. He tallied eight birdies over the day's 36 holes, three behind the tournament leader. Scott is tied for 26th, leading the Red Raiders individually with a 36-hole 1-over-par.Â
Behind Scott is Matthew Comegys, who shot a 3-over-par 73 to open play and followed that with an even-par 70 in round two to close out Monday at 3-over-par. Baard Skogen shot an even-par 70 in round one and 4-over-par 74 in round two to close out 4-over par on the day. Tyran Snyders used rounds of 4-over-par 74 in round one and 1-over-par 71 in round two to end up at 5-over-par on the day. Ben Gregg fired one of the tournament's 12 eagles scored on Monday on the 540-yard par-5 14th-hole during the second round. He is 9-over-par heading into the final round, shooting 7-over-par 77 in round one and a 2-over-par 72 in round two.
