MELBOURNE, Fla. – Due to sustained winds of 25 MPH and gusts over of 40 MPH, the second round of the Columbia Classic has been canceled.

With the weather conditions deteriorating, play was suspended at around 11:30 a.m. (CT) this morning.

After a brief delay and a coaches meeting, the coaches and tournament officials decided to wipe away all of today's action and shorten the event to 36 holes. At the time of the suspension of play all 14 teams were at least +6 on the afternoon.

All tournament scores will return to what they were after yesterday's first 18 holes meaning Texas Tech will return to -2 overall and Princeton still enjoys the same four-shot lead they did heading into today.

UP NEXT:

The Red Raiders will tee off at 7:30 a.m. (CT) for the third and final round. Tech will play with Princeton and Tulsa. Freshman Lauren Zaretsky leads the Tech contingent at -2 overall. She is currently in solo fourth, just one-shot off the lead.
