The senior was named Big 12 Player of the Month for the month of February
IRVING, Texas – Fresh off completing a three-peat at The Prestige and a dominate performance at the ACC/Big 12 Match Play Challenge, Texas Tech senior golfer Ludvig Aberg has been named Big 12 Golfer of the Month, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
The honor is Aberg's second straight player of the month honor after being selected as Big 12 Player of the Month back in October.
In the season opening event of the spring, Aberg was simply dominate, rolling No. 15 David Ford, 7&6 in the Big 12/ACC Match Play event that replaced the season opening Amer Ari Invitational that was canceled due to high winds. Aberg did not drop a hole in the statement victory.
Aberg followed up the strong performance at the second and final event Tech would play in the month of February when he used rounds of 68-70-70 to repeat as the individual medalist at "The Prestige" for the third straight season.
Just last week, Aberg completed one of the best weeks of his golf career when he finished inside the top-25 at the PGA TOURs Arnold Palmer Invitational. Aberg recorded back-to-back two-under rounds of 70 to make his first career cut.
