
Tech heads to Charlottesville Regional for ITA Kickoff Weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team is traveling to Charlottesville, Va., for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend as the Lady Raiders open with a match against host and top-seeded Virginia.
The Regional also includes two-seed Georgia Tech and three-seed Wisconsin.
ITA Kickoff Weekend will take place next season on Jan. 26-29, 2024. Tech will take on Virginia first, while Georgia Tech and Wisconsin will play one another.
The two winners of these matches will play the following day for a spot in the 2024 ITA Indoor Team Championships and the two losers will play in a consolation match.
Texas Tech finished the 2023 season ranked No. 38 in the end of the year ITA rankings after making their 11th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Fifth-year senior Olivia Peet was the lone Lady Raider ranked in singles at No. 116 while the duo of Metka Komac and Avelina Sayfetdinova checked in at No. 30 in doubles.
