The former C-USA Freshman of the Year will play his final season at Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas – Head coach Greg Sands has signed former North Texas standout Vicente Marzilio to a National Letter of Intent Tuesday.

The former Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2020-21, Marzilio signed with the Mean Green and former UNT assistant James Vargas, who was announced as the Red Raiders associate head coach last week.

A three-time NCAA Regional participant, Marzilio made an immediate impact in 2020-21, becoming the first Mean Green player since 2015 to win individual medalist honors at the conference championships.

Throughout his time in Denton, Marzilio was three-time all-conference selection after turning in a career stroke average of 72.47.

A two-time top-five finisher at the conference championships, Marzilio recorded seven top-25 finishes including runner up honors at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

The native of Don Torcuato, Argentina, will have one season of eligibility remaining.
