Riley Love ranked sixth-best third baseman by Softball America

LUBBOCK, Texas – Softball America released its list for the top-10 third basemen in the country on Tuesday morning with Texas Tech senior Riley Love sitting at No. 6 on the list.

The Keller native has had an impressive start to her 2024 campaign and is currently slashing .351/.842/.431 with eight doubles, six home runs and 26 RBIs, all of which are already career highs.

Love's eight doubles is tied for most in the Big 12 and she also has been in full command of the hot corner this season making web-gem plays as she has recorded 40 assists, good for second best in the Big 12.
"It's been great to see Riley develop into the player she is," said head coach Craig Snider. "She continues to grow and lead our program and is fun to watch."

Love has also reached base safely in 11-straight games and is coming off hitting the first grand slam of her career as she racked up seven RBIs against Merrimack College.

UP NEXT: The Red Raiders will begin Big 12 play this weekend as they travel to Provo to take on BYU beginning on Thursday, March 7.
