Four Red Raiders named to Softball America's Freshman Watch List

Bailey Lindemuth, Brenlee Gonzales, Hailey Toney and Samantha Lincoln earn national recognition ahead of first collegiate season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Softball America released its Freshman Watch List which features 170 of the nation's top freshman ahead of the 2025 season. The Red Raiders had four player represented including Bailey Lindemuth, Brenlee Gonzales, Hailey Toney and Samantha Lincoln.
Toney and Lincoln were also named to D1Softball's D100 Freshman Watch List last week.
Lincoln was the 17th ranked player in the 2024 class as well as the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. She posted an impressive 0.21 ERA over 133 innings and struck out 284 batters. Lincoln also played travel ball for the Louisville Lady Sluggers under coach Jim Huecker.
Toney was the 10th ranked infielder in the 2024 class and had an impressive fall that her in the starting lineup and playing shortstop. Toney finished high school with a .602 batting average and accumulated 223 hits. She played travel ball for Hotshots National under coach Nathan Nelson.
Lindemuth is a versatile player who can hit, play the infield and pitch when called upon. She was the 11th ranked player in the 2024 class according to Extra Innings Softball and also hit .548 her senior year of high school and played travel ball for Stryker National under Charlie Esparza.
Gonzales was the 11th ranked pitcher in the 2024 class according to Extra Innings Softball and posted a 0.81 ERA her senior year. She also played travel ball for the Texas Bombers under Scott Smith and legendary pitcher Cat Osterman.
