Canady, Davis named to USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List

NiJaree Canady and Mihyia Davis add more preseason accolades
LUBBOCK, Texas – USA Softball released its list of the 53 players featured on its 2025 Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List on Wednesday. Reigning National Player of the Year, NiJaree Canady, was featured on the list along with teammate and 2024 Sun Belt Player of the Year Mihyia Davis.
Canady and Davis have both received several preseason honors including being ranked in D1Softball and Softball America's Top 100 Players list.
Davis was also ranked the No. 15 outfielder in the country while Canady was ranked the No. 1 pitcher.
USA Softball also released its Preseason Top 25 Poll yesterday which featured the Red Raiders at No. 10.
