Canady and Davis earn All-Big 12 Preseason Honors
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Big 12 released its 2025 Softball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-Big 12 Team on Friday. The poll and team are voted on by the coaches. The Red Raiders were tabbed No. 2 behind Oklahoma State and received two first place votes while NiJaree Canady and Mihyia Davis were named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
This is the first time the Red Raiders have been picked in the top three in program history.
The Big 12 will have a new 11-team look this season with the addition of Utah, Arizona and Arizona State. The Cowgirls have been in the top five of every preseason top 25 poll and will square off against the Red Raiders to open Big 12 play on March 7-9.
Canady was one of five unanimous selections on the list as her and Davis continue the buzz around Tech softball.
