LUBBOCK, Texas – Fresh off another strong season that featured a third-straight NCAA Round of 32 win and another 14-win season, Texas Tech Soccer saw six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District list.
Highlighted by National Player of the Year candidate and senior captain Macy Blackburn, the list also includes midfielder Sam Courtwright, midfielder Peyton Parsons, goalkeeper Faith Nguyen, midfielder Molly Skurcesnki and forward Taylor Zdrojewski.
All six of the Red Raiders selections have advanced to the national ballot for full All-America status.
Zdrojewski and Parsons were honored for the second-consecutive season while Nguyen and Courtwright were debutants to the CSC All-District list. Blackburn and Skurcenski (both seniors) close their careers with the third and final of three-straight CSC Academic All-District selections.
A former Business Marketing (undergraduate) major, Blackburn earned Second Team All-America honors a season ago from CSC.
In order to be considered for both Academic All-District and then full All-American honors, student-athletes must play in at least 66 percent of contests and sport a GPA of at least 3.50 or higher.
Voting for the final All-American list is underway for all CSC members and will conclude on Tuesday (Dec. 2) night at 10:59 p.m. (CT).Â
