June 17, 2025 | Men's Golf
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech seniors Charlie DeLong and Calum Scott were each named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Men's College Division At-Large Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.Â
To be nominated, undergraduate student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while student-athletes who are in graduate school must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average as both an undergraduate and a graduate student, unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student.
Athletically, individuals must be in their respective lineup for at least 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or entered into the lineup at the conference championship tournament.Â
Both seniors are anticipated to graduate from Texas Tech in August. DeLong is completing his MBA in general business at Texas Tech after earning his undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State. Scott is majoring in sport management.
Scott is a back-to-back CSC Academic All-District honoree. Meanwhile, it's the first honor for DeLong as a Red Raider, but he was named a 2023 CSC Academic All-American in his final season at GVSU and an all-district honoree in 2022 and 2023.Â
Scott was selected as a 2025 CSC Academic All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The Academic All-America team will be announced on July 9.
