Tech returns to No. 2 after sweeping UCF
LUBBOCK, Texas – A week after dropping one spot to No. 3, the Red Raiders are right back at No. 2 after sweeping then-No. 24/25 UCF last weekend.
Tech ranks top five in the country in batting average (.393), ERA (1.57), home runs (63), scoring (9.84 runs per game) and shutouts (11) to name a few.
Reigning National Pitcher of the Year NiJaree Canady sits 27 strikeouts away from 1,000 and is one of two active players to have 950+ career strikeouts. Mihyia Davis recently became the only active player with 300 career hits. Kaitlyn Terry is currently riding a 19-game hitting streak and is a perfect 12-0 in the circle as she has proved to be even better than advertised.
