Seven Red Raiders named to NFCA All-Central Region Team

Texas Tech sets program record for first team selections, total selections
LUBBOCK, Texas – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its All-Region teams for the 2026 season. The Red Raiders had seven All-Central Region selections, tying Texas for the most in the region and setting a new program record for total selections.
Texas Tech was represented on the first team by NiJaree Canady, Mia Williams, Mihyia Davis and Kaitlyn Terry. Jackie Lis was named to the second team and Taylor Pannell and Jasmyn Burns were named to the third team.
Davis has been named to All-Region First Team her last four years, Canady her last three years and Williams her last two seasons. Terry was named to the All-Region Second Team her freshman year and All-Region Third Team last season. This is Burns and Lis's third All-Region selections and Pannell's second.
Canady and Terry were also named to the USA Softball Player of the Year Top 10 Watchlist yesterday and have been one of the best pitching duos in the country. Williams and Davis are the team's leader in several offensive categories as Williams recently set the program record for home runs (22), runs (81) and RBI (73) in a single season and is closing in on the record for doubles (21) and total bases (165). Davis leads the team with 82 hits, five triples and 34 stolen bases, both top 10 in program history. Lis and Burns both have 17 home runs and over 50 RBI while Pannell is batting .360 with nine home runs and 47 RBI with just two errors at third base.
UP NEXT: Texas Tech will host the Lubbock Regional this weekend beginning on Friday at 3:30 p.m. when they take on Marist.
