Men's hoops to catch first glimpse of OU and A&M
The Texas Tech men's basketball team will challenge two Big 12 south division opponents for the first time this season. On Wednesday, the team travels to Norman, Oklahoma to face the Sooners in the Lloyd Noble Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m?Saturday, the 4-4 Red Raiders return home for a game with Texas A&M at 3 p.m. in the Coliseum. The game will be televised as part of the Big 12's regional broadcast.
Lady Raiders face second series with Texas and Baylor
The Lady Raiders, moving to a #7 ranking in the AP poll, remain home during the first part of the week for a Wednesday matchup with the Texas Longhorns. The 8 p.m. tip off will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest?Saturday, the Tech squad travels to Waco to challenge Baylor for the second time this season. Game time is 7 p.m. The Bears will play Texas A&M in college station on Wednesday first.
Baseball season gets underway with trip to New Mexico and home stand
The 1998 baseball season will get into full swing on Tuesday when the team travels to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque for a two-game series. The Tech squad started of the season on Saturday with a successful debut against the alumni?On Friday, West Texas A&M comes to town for the Red Raider's first home stand. The three-game series will run Fri., Sat. and Sun. with game times at 3 p.m, noon and 2 p.m.
Men's tennis welcomes first home opponents
The Texas Tech men's tennis team will stay at home for the first time this season to play Abilene Christian and West Texas A&M. Both matches will be held on Friday, with the Abilene Christian match beginning at 1:30 p.m. and the West Texas A&M match starting at 8:30 p.m?Sunday, the team continues action against New Mexico State at 1 p.m. All games will be played in the Athletic Training Center.
Track and field travels to Reno, Nevada for the Bill Cosby Invitational
Texas Tech's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will head to Reno, Nevada this weekend for the annual Bill Cosby Invitational, hosted by the University of Nevada-Reno.
Fast pitch season begins with New Mexico trip
Saturday marks the first games of the 1998 season for the Texas Tech fast pitch squad. The team will travel to the Univ. of New Mexico for a two-day tournament, featuring three games each day.
Men's golf starts spring schedule in Mexico
The Texas Tech men's golf team willbegin the spring season with a trip to Monterrey Mexico for the International Intercollegiate, hosted by Rice. The event will run Thurs. through Sat. at Club Campestre.
