Texas Tech Hires Media Relations Staffer
| Texas Tech Hires Media Relations Staffer March 29, 1999 LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech named Chris Cook Associate Director of Athletic Media Relations in charge of men's basketball, the school announced today. Cook, a 1993 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, has served as an assistant sports information director at Saint Louis University for the past five years. He also served as a sports information assistant at Western Kentucky University for one year. Cook has significant basketball experience, working numerous NCAA Tournament events, including this year's Final Four in Tampa, Fla. At Texas Tech, Cook will handle all media relations duties related to the Red Raider men's basketball team. He will also serve as the football gameday program editor and assist in all phases of the Texas Tech athletic department publicity efforts. He will begin April 15. Cook replaces Warren Miller, who left the department in November to accept a position with the Houston Astros Baseball Club as Associate Director of Media Relations. |
