June 8, 2001 LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head basketball coaches Marsha Sharp and Bob Knight will be the featured guests at the Red Raider Club dinners at the Westside Tennis Club in Houston and Eddie Deen's Ranch in Dallas. "A Sharp Knight under the Texas Stars" will be held Wed., June 20, in Houston and Thu., June 21, in Dallas and tips-off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour. A dinner, program and auction will follow at 7:30 p.m. Sharp and Knight have 1,222 wins combined and four national championships. Sharp led the Lady Raiders to the NCAA round of 16 last season and has led Texas Tech to the NCAA Tournament 14 times, including the last 12. Knight's Indiana teams made 24 NCAA Tournament appearances, including the last 15 during Knight's tenure in Bloomington. Cost for the event is $350 for a reserved table for 10 or $25 per person.
