LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University, a member of Official College Sports Network (OCSN), and RealNetworks?, Inc (Nasdaq: RNWK), the global leader in Internet media delivery, have partnered just in time for the 2003 college football season. Texas Tech, along with more than 55 top colleges and universities, will bring exciting multi-media content including live audio broadcasts and exclusive video content of the best in college football, basketball, baseball and other sports to college sports fans across the Internet via a subscription-only service called College Sports Pass, as part of the RealOneTM network of subscription services.
This exciting college package will provide Texas Tech fans an inside look into Red Raider athletics that has never before been offered to the public. The College Sports Pass will feature interviews from players and coaches as well as those who have been involved in Tech's success over the years. The pass will also offer such features as; game day all-access; weekly and post-game press conferences, weekly coach's shows, live game audio and much more. For just $6.95 month subscribers will be treated to the highest bandwidth live broadcast yet available.
To sign up for the subscription, Texas Tech fans can go directly to the Raiders' official athletic site (www.texastech.com), www.realone.com, or directly to their RealOne Player. A full list of participating colleges may be found at: www.collegesports.com.
"With the addition this year of new OCSN partners such as Texas Tech, RealOne is solidifying its position as the preeminent destination for sports fans online," stated Erik Flannigan, Vice President, Programming, RealNetworks, Inc. "By harnessing the best in both college and professional sports, we're able to provide Red Raider fans with the ultimate in sports programming from their own school and national sources - only available through RealOne."
The action doesn't end with the football season, either. Member schools will provide subscribers with any sport that is covered by their media networks-whether it's basketball, baseball or any other sport broadcast via OCSN.
"We think the College Sports Pass will be something that our fans will embrace especially those who are diehard Red Raider fans," said Craig Wells Associate A.D/External Operations. "This new service allows us to communicate with our fan base in a way that has never before been offered and we feel like the monthly price is very reasonable when you consider the content that will be available. Our partnership with OCSN continues to grow and we hope to make more additions to our web content so that we will have the most knowledgeable fan base in all of college athletics."
