| Texas Tech Events Affected by Tragedy Sept. 11, 2001 LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Director of Athletic Gerald Myers announced this afternoon that Texas Tech's volleyball matches with the University of Texas and the University of New Mexico scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday nights at the United Spirit Arena have been postponed due to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. A decision on Thursday night's football game at UTEP is pending, but is expected sometime Wednesday morning. "We are evaluating the situation, but the game is not cancelled," Myers said, referring to the football game. "We will make a decision sometime tomorrow morning. There is the possibility of moving the game to Saturday. Right now there are a lot of uncertainties." The Red Raider soccer team will play as scheduled at New Mexico Sun., Sept. 16.
