Red Raider Club Set To Take Donations Online
| Red Raider Club Set To Take Donations Online Dec. 4, 2000 Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletic Department, in conjunction with the FANSonly Network, is now accepting donations and memberships to the Red Raider Club via the university's official athletic site at www.texastech.com. Texas Tech becomes the first of FANSonly's 87 official college athletic sites to offer this service to fans and alumni, and one of the first athletic departments in the nation to take their fund-raising capabilities online. "It is extremely important for any fundraising organization to attract new donors, and we believe this is a service me must offer our younger alumni and fans," said Red Raider Club Associate Executive Director Brad Walker. "Our alumni association has been successful with a similar program, so we know our fan base wants the option of making donations online. The timing is good, too, with a new football coach, new basketball arena, and lots of construction going on right now in the athletics department." The online interface was developed by FANSonly, and allows donors to join any of the Red Raiders membership levels through a simple point-and-click credit card transaction at http://www.texastech.com/donations. There are eight donation levels for visitors to choose from, ranging from $50 to $50,000. The benefits of each level are outlined on the official athletic site as well as instructions for joining. The Red Raider Club is the primary support group for Texas Tech Athletics, raising funds to meet the costs of facilities and athletic scholarships for Red Raider athletes in all 17 sports offered at Texas Tech. These scholarship expenses include room, board, tuition, books and fees. About The FANSonly Network |
