Big 12 Women to Tour Europe

DALLAS, Texas - A Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball All-Star Team will participate in a foreign tour in Finland and Sweden this August.
The team will be coached by Dick Halterman, head coach at Oklahoma State University. Halterman just completed his 15th year at OSU and has compiled a 287-187 (.605) overall record. His teams have made seven NCAA Tournament appearances and played in the inaugural WNIT in 1998.
A list of student-athletes participating on the all-star team will be finalized in the upcoming weeks. Each school will be represented by one student-athlete.
The staff and team will participate in meetings and practices in Dallas Aug. 1-4 before arriving in Helsinki, Finland, on Aug. 5. Four games are scheduled in Finland from Aug. 6-10. The team will then travel to Stockholm, Sweden, on Aug. 12 and play two games in Sweden on Aug. 13-14 before returning to Dallas on Aug. 15.
