LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech soccer coaching staff has grown with the addition of David Bucciero as the team's goalkeeper coach.
"David will be a true asset to our staff. His experience in the goal will definitely help our goalkeepers. We look forward to working with him," Texas Tech Head Coach Felix Oskam said.
Bucciero comes to Tech from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where he served as the assistant men's soccer coach since 1996. Prior to that he was an assistant women's coach at the University of Maryland.
Last season, Bucciero served as an assistant coach with the Maryland Olympic Development Program. He was also the Head Coach for the Under 18 boy's Olympic Development Program in Delaware during 1996-97. For the past seven years, Bucciero has worked with the John Ellis Soccer Academy as the Director of Goalkeeping Camps.
A four year letterwinner at James Madison University, Bucciero played goalkeeper for the Vista Hurricane Club team from 1991-1992. He received his Bachelor's degree from James Madison in 1995 and his Master's degree from Washington College in 1998.
