Lady Raiders Dominate James Madison

HONOLULU (AP) - Angie Braziel poured in a game-high 20 points to lead No. 10 Texas Tech over James Madison 71-38 Monday in the opening day of the Ala Moana Hotel Paradise Classic.
The Lady Raiders (8-1) went up 44-24 on a 19-7 run to begin the second half en route to their seventh straight win.
The 6-foot-3 Braziel sparked the first half with 12 points and added four rebounds and three blocked shots in 27 minutes of play.
Katrisa O'Neal contributed 14 points and Kristie Washington added 12 as Texas Tech shot 63 percent from the floor in the second half after hitting only 41 percent in the opening period.
The Lady Raiders led 25-17 lead at halftime, as the teams combined for 27 turnovers - 15 by James Madison (5-5) - in the first half.
The Dukes, led by Mistiza Colebank's 11 points, had a 13-12 lead with 10:29 remaining. Texas Tech went on a 13-4 run to end the half.
James Madison was held to 23.8 percent shooting from the field in the game.
