LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Post Game Comments (2/17/99)
Angie Braziel
"I have to give credit to the guards for getting me the ball and being patient. They have done things to open me up. I just tried to settle down and do things I need to do for the team."
Rene Hanebutt
"I really didn't have the focus in the second half as I did in the first half. I didn't get as good of looks and I have to work on that. Game in and game out we have to go in as a group and play together for 40 minutes. We have done that at times but we just have to shorten the times when we are playing badly and lengthen the times when we are playing well."
"I felt like we played well tonight because OSU really came at us. We were much better for 40 minutes than we were against Missouri. I think the things that opened up Rene in the first half-opened up Angie in the second half. We did a better job of making adjustments defending things they wanted to do. I think we got a lot of momentum through three games here. We will leave with a good mental mind set and we will need it in Nebraska."
OSU Head Coach Dick Halterman
"I wish someone would tell Rene Hanebutt that she has to catch the ball before she can shoot it. I don't think I have ever seen a player shoot the ball that fast. We have got to put point on the board--53 and 54 won't win many games in this league. Tech has good players and they know to get the ball to them. They are great on both ends of the floor. We tried to guard Angie more tonight but she is just a handful."
