The post players played a great game and really attacked the boards. This championship is really special because I am a senior and we worked so hard to get it.

"The atmosphere was really great. It was a perfect ending to a lot of great memories. We were concerned about our concentration with everything going on with senior night and all the emotions that go along with that. We have had to tough road trips and I was worried about our energy level. Rene was right. Rebounding was key - we got 50 boards. Our defense was great - we held Edwina Brown to six points. I am really proud of them. They deserve to be Big 12 champions."
