SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Texas Tech used a four-run ninth inning to break a 2-2 along with a complete game pitching performance from Kevin Tracey to defeat San Diego State 6-2 Thursday at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The victory improved Texas Tech to 7-4 and snapped a four-game losing streak. San Diego State dropped to 6-5.

"Early on my curve was working," Tracey said. "Then it got sharper and sharper as the game wore on. My teammates really picked me up in the ninth inning and helped us pull it out. We needed this win. It's a huge win with Brandon Roberson and Shane Wright coming up next. It feels good to get back on track."
