Texas Tech Baseball to Begin Practice on Thursday

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech baseball team will begin practice for its 1999 baseball season Thursday, January 14. Since the school is not in session the team will practice twice per day.
Morning practice on Thursday is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in the Athletic Training Center while the afternoon practice will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Dan Law Field. On Friday, practice begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Athletic Training Center and at 2:00 p.m. at Dan Law Field.
All media is invited to attend practice and interview players. Texas Tech which finished 44-20 last year, won the Big 12 Tournament title and appeared in an NCAA Regional for the fourth consecutive year, will enter the season nationally ranked 13th by Collegiate Baseball, 19th by Baseball America and 20th by USA Baseball Weekly (coaches' poll). The final college baseball poll, selected by The Sporting News, has yet to be released.
WEEKLY PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Friday, Jan. 15: 8:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
MORNING PRACTICES WILL BE IN ATHLETIC TRAINING CENTER, AFTERNOON PRACTICES WILL TAKE PLACE AT DAN LAW FIELD.
