Texas Tech, Hays to Assist Accident Victims

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech cheerleader and pom pon squad members will be at the front gate of Dan Law Field collecting money for the Green Lawn Church of Christ at Texas Tech's weekend baseball series against Big 12 rival Oklahoma State. Collection cans will also be at concession stands during the game for donations.
Donations go directly to the families of the six youth members of Lubbock's Green Lawn Church of Christ who were killed in a bus accident in New Mexico several days ago.
"We'd really appreciate everyone's support for the families of this tragic accident," Hays said. "The families are in need of financial support and any amount of money we can raise would be beneficial."
Game times for this weekend's series against nationally ranked Oklahoma State are 7 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
