HONOLULU (AP) - Angie Braziel scored all of her 19 points in the second half, leading No. 10 Texas Tech to a 67-63 victory over Hawaii for the championship of the Ala Moana Hotel Paradise Classic.
After playing poorly in the first half, the Lady Raiders came back in the second half to shoot 71 percent.
Texas Tech led 16-11 with 9:22 remaining in the first half before Hawaii went on a 11-0 run to take a 28-25 halftime lead. Hawaii shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, compared with 33 percent for Texas Tech.
Braziel dominated the second half, scoring 10 consecutive points for the Lady Raiders as they took a 45-44 lead with 11:03 remaining in the game, a lead they would not relinquish.
Rene Hanebutt had 17 points and Keitha Dickerson 13 for the winners. Raylene Howard led the Rainbow Wahine with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
