Quoting Texas Tech:
Head Coach Larry Hays
"We didnt play well early like we are capable of doing. We didnt give up and you get rewards for hanging tough and today we did. We had guys hang in there and I appreciate that. We are a different team than we were this time last week and are different people. I am really proud of these guys and how they are playing now. We need to come in and pitch all nine innings. Roberson was outstanding. We got desperate early and had to go with Brandon."
Pitcher Brandon Roberson
"Today took a little toll on me and I felt a little fatigued the last two innings. My breaking ball was sharper earlier and later in the game I had to work harder to hit my spots. This situation was the same as it has been all year long for us.
Brennan Burns (On game-tying hit)
"I didnt really know what I was thinking. I felt blessed to be put in that situation and was really excited when I came through. I had to take a few seconds to calm myself down. We didnt play well at first but then we were sparked with luck and not intensity and then everyone relaxed and settled down and we came through."
Centerfielder Marco Cunningham
"We picked at the them but we werent getting any Raider luck like we usually do. Our emotions started flaring again and if we keep doing that we will be in good shape. This week has been all emotions for us."
Quoting UW-Milwaukee:
Head Coach Jerry Augustine
"For the first four innings, we played good baseball. The momentum changed in the fourth inning. The key was that we runners on second and third and we didnt get them in. They came back and scored three in the next inning. Roberson did a wail of job for them. All year long, we have had confidence in our pitchers. We asked Andy (Neary) and we wanted the ballgame. It just didnt work out for him."
Rightfielder Brett Huebner
"Give credit to Roberson. We hit the first four innings and then nothing. The crowd had a lot to do for them. We went from high to low and didnt finish the job out."
