HOUSTON (AP) - Angie Braziel scored a season-high 26 points Sunday as No. 14 Texas Tech beat Rice 79-57 in the championship game of the Gene Hackerman Rice Invitational.
The loss broke a 19-game home winning streak for the Owls. Their last loss at Autry Court had been a 75-68 defeat by Brigham Young on Jan. 25, 1997.
Rene Hanebutt had 16 points and Keitha Dickerson 13 as the Lady Raiders (6-1) won their fifth straight game.
The Lady Owls (4-4) got 15 points from Marla Brumfield.
Tech used a 13-1 run early in the game and led 34-21 with 2:17 left in the half.
Braziel scored the Raiders' first six points of the second half, and her layup with 13:56 left made it 58-35.
Earlier Sunday, Wisconsin stopped Florida A&M 86-57 in the tournament's consolation game.
