Women's Tennis Player Wins First Round of NCAA Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Zana Zlebnik proved that making school history was not enough. Instead, the freshmen defeated Karin Palme of Arizona State, 6-4, 6-1, in the first round of the NCAA Championships, at the University of Notre Dame.

Zlebnik's first round win advances her to tomorrows second round, where she will face Big 12 foe, Kylie Hunt, of The University of Kansas. Hunt defeated Dawn Buth, of Florida, 7-6, 6-4.
