Women's Tennis Tops Iowa State, 7-2

AMES, Iowa - The Texas Tech women's tennis team defeated Iowa State 7-2 Sunday in Big 12 Conference women's tennis action. With the victory, Texas Tech improves to 9-8 on the season and 4-4 in the Big 12 Conference.
Texas Tech won four of six singles matches, then swept the doubles portion of the contest for the 7-2 victory. Singles winners included freshman Zana Zlebnik who defeated Iowa State's Kendra Leese 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1, sophomore Lakshmi Ravindra who defeated Iowa State's Ann Simons 6-1, 7-6 at No. 2, senior Christine VanRegenmorter who defeated Iowa State's Mary Rumbaoa 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 4 and sophomore Erica Dopson who came out on top of a 6-1, 6-3 decision against Maggi Agustsson.
