LUBBOCK, Texas – Four Lady Raiders have been named All-Big 12 selections as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. Senior Hailey Murphy earned All-Big 12 First Team Singles, while the duo of Murphy and Yekaterina Dmitrichenko were selected as an All-Big 12 First Team Doubles pair. Dmitrichenko also earned All-Big 12 Second Team Singles honors, and the tandem of Mariia Hlahola and Elena Daskalova made All-Big 12 Second Team Doubles.
Murphy earned her first conference singles postseason award with her first team nod. Murphy leads the team in both overall singles wins (22) and in dual singles wins (14), playing primarily at the top of the lineup. At that position, she has put together a 12-6 record, while adding five Big 12 singles victories and a team-best six ranked singles wins.
Murphy and Dmitrichenko have been a force at the top of the lineup in doubles, garnering their second All-Big 12 honor as a pair after being named to the second team last season. The Murphy/Dmitrichenko duo lead the Lady Raiders with a 25-4 overall doubles record and a 22-3 dual doubles record, all coming at court one. They went 12-1 in conference play while picking up a team-leading three ranked doubles wins.
Dmitrichenko recorded her second All-Big 12 singles honor of her career after totaling 11 dual singles wins and a 5-2 Big 12 singles record. Playing primarily at court two, Dmitrichenko picked up nine wins at that position while adding a couple of ranked singles victories. She recently defeated Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and First-Team selection, Vivian Ovrootsky, giving the Sun Devil her first dual singles loss of the season.
The duo of Hlahola and Daskalova were named to the All-Big 12 Second Team this year after putting together an 11-6 dual record, all coming at court two. They went 6-3 in Big 12 play and helped the Lady Raiders earn 14 doubles points on the year. This is Daskalova's first and Hlahola's second postseason conference award in their careers.
The Lady Raiders are set to play in their 14th-consecutive NCAA Tournament this Saturday at 10 a.m. against the Yale Bulldogs in Austin, Texas.
