Women's Soccer Finishes European Trip 4-0

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team won its final game of its 10-day European tour with a 6-1 victory over the FV Dudenhogen team of Germany.

"We played sloppy the first half but got back on track in the second half," said head coach Felix Oskam. "We had some good performances during our trip and we look forward to starting the upcoming season."

The Red Raiders, who finished their European trip with a 4-0 record, will open up the 1999 season next Friday, Aug. 27 at No. 9 Nebraska at 7 p.m. and then will travel to Iowa State Sunday, Aug. 29 for a 1 p.m. contest.
