LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women?s basketball team received its first preseason ranking of the 1999-00 season. The Lady Raiders are ranked 15th by Athlon Sports College Basketball Magazine.
Four of Tech?s opponents this year and three possible opponents were selected as one of the top 25 teams by the magazine, UCLA (fourth), Iowa State (seventh), North Carolina (ninth), Louisiana State (11th), Kansas (18th), Texas (22nd) and SMU (23rd).
