Volleyball Media Guide Honored By USA Volleyball

The 1999 edition of the Texas Tech Volleyball Media Guide was honored in May by USA Volleyball. The organization honored the publication with the Viggo O. Nelson Collegiate Media Guide Award.

Volleyball coach Jeff Nelson commented, "This is a great honor for Texas Tech volleyball and the Media Relations department. We have always felt that our media guides are top of the line. It's great for the university to recieve a national honor like this."

The award is named after the fifth president of the United States Volleyball Association, Viggo O. Nelson, who was the consummate advocate of communication in the organization.
