Tech Athletics Pitch in to Aid American Red Cross

LUBBOCK, Texas - Student-athletes from various Texas Tech sport programs will be collecting funds for the American Red Cross at this weekend's football game against Kansas.

All proceeds will go toward the Big 12 Conference's $1 million commitment to the Relief Fund for the victims and families affected by the events of September 11. Student-athletes will be collecting the funds at each of the four gates at Jones SBC Stadium Saturday.

In addition to Texas Tech, each Big 12 institution will be conducting fund drives to contribute to this effort.
