Tech's Women Win Tennis Doubles

FT. WORTH, Texas-The Texas Tech women's tennis team won the Rolex Tournament doubles finals today on the campus of Texas Christian University.
The No. 10 doubles team of junior Beverly Dawson and sophomore Irina Tereschcenko, defeated the No. 7 doubles team of Fisher/Gonzales from Rice University.
The Red Raiders were down 5-0, and came back and won 9-8 (7-5 in the tie).
"This is the biggest win since we have been at Tech for the last three years," said assistant Coach Sandy Collins. "This is the second year that Dawson and Tereschcenko played together and they are doing phenomenal...we are really proud of the pair."
Dawson and Tereschcenko will play in the nationals tournament in early November.
